| I've been a freelance illustrator
since 1986 and hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication
Studies from California State University, Sacramento.
Some of my very early artwork
includes a life-sized baby whale done in indelible red lipstick
on new bedroom carpeting (age 4) and creative touches to Mom's
oil-painting-in-progress while she was asleep (age 5). Since
those early experiments in creativity, I've progressed to
colored pencil on paper and digital media.
My client list ranges from
advertising agencies to government entities, and my portfolio
consists of many things animal, vegetable or mineral. Although
I'm not one to ever say "never," I'm not likely to be
showing clowns in my body of work. We artists must have a
creative quirk or two, and that one's mine.
I'm currently a member of the
Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators. |
